Colourful Communications founder, Liz BG, has been pursuing her passion for PR and communications since 1998.

Eager to break into the world of public relations, Liz accepted a graduate position in a global PR agency before completing her (somewhat-irrelevant-and-still-to-prove-useful ) Geography degree, taking annual leave to sit her finals.

Navigating through some of the world’s biggest agencies, servicing an exciting array of accounts (from petroleum companies to fashion houses, lifestyle brands to charities), Liz has also headed up in-house departments developing PR strategies and managing crisis communications for two of the UK’s biggest high street retailers, Woolworths and Habitat.

Expert in product placement, running press offices, writing releases and journalist liaison, Liz has launched hugely successful campaigns, increased sales, driven footfall and exceeded expectations.

Wanting to understand the media industry inside out, Liz then took up an editorial role on one of Britain’s best read women’s magazines and spent three years writing, editing and commissioning content for IPC Media’s much-loved, Woman magazine.

In 2009, Liz founded Colourful Communications Ltd with the intention of exploiting her unique experience and understanding of both sides of the media fence. Still writing for national magazines (including GoodHomes, The Christmas Magazine, Real Homes and Ideal Home), Liz can offer editorial support for publications, whilst boosting brand exposure for businesses that need to be that little bit brighter.
